How much does Clover cost?

Nothing. Clover is free and open source under the MIT license. You pay only your model provider, or bring your own key.

How do I get started?

Run the one-line installer, then clover setup. A few questions later you are talking to it. Beginner’s luck is optional.

Where do I talk to it?

In the terminal, the desktop app, or the iPhone app. One gateway also reaches you on Telegram, Discord, Slack, WhatsApp, Signal, and email. Voice notes work.

Does it remember me?

Yes. Notes, sessions, and settings live in ~/.clover on your machine. Clover searches its own past chats and turns hard tasks into skills. Give it a month and it stops asking what you already answered.

How do I stop it?

Press Ctrl+C in the terminal or send /stop in chat. Your conversations, memory, and skills stay in ~/.clover. Start Clover again to pick up where you left off.

Is it private?

Your keys stay on your machine, and you pick the model. Use your own local model for anything private. Desktop control is off by default.
